Ye Baag’baan Ke Qadam Jis Chaman Mein Jaawe To Phir, Na Us Chaman Mein Kabhi Aafat’e Khizaan Jaawe

“Mein chu”, said Moulana Mohammad Burhanuddin RA when I thought everything was over.

It happened on the 25th of March, 2008 back when I was expecting my second child. The pregnancy period was pretty bumpy during which I once had a dream where Moulana Taher Saifuddin RA and Moulana Mohammad Burhanuddin RA were standing on the peak of a mountain with a worried and concerned look.

I told my husband about the dream; however, we were unable to figure out a context.

When my delivery was due, I was admitted to the Lady Dufferin Hospital in Karachi and due to some unforeseen complications, the doctor had to undertake a caesarean delivery. The baby was delivered healthy; however, I remained half-conscious and kept screaming out of an unusual pain.

My grandmother, father and mother were there at my side through the night and I could hear them saying that the way I was screaming was worrisome and that I should be inspected. Suddenly, my father saw that there was a heavy flow of blood coming out of my body and he started shouting in the hospital for help.

Panic-stricken and terrified, the nurses rushed in and called the doctor immediately.

Upon witnessing my state, the doctor informed my mother that an urgent surgery was required, and to call my husband in order to sign the consent form as I only had slim chances of survival. The uterus was infected and had to be operated out.

Crushed and heartbroken, my mother was continuously reciting Maulana Ali’s AS munqabat. I was unable to move or respond.

Just as they were preparing for the surgery, I saw a vision of Moulana Mohammad Burhanuddin RA standing at the side of my bed with a tasbeeh in his hand – just like I had seen him in the dream with Moulana Taher Saifuddin RA earlier – this time, during a plight like a mountain.

In immense pain and tears flowing down, I turned to Moula RA and attempted to pronounce some words. Before I could say anything, Moula RA raised his haath mubarak and said “mein chu”.

I couldn’t feel the pain. It simply disappeared.

The doctor was stunned to find that the uterus had miraculously taken it’s place and the bleeding had stopped; the person who saw slim chances of my survival a moments ago discharged me shortly afterwards.

“Mein chu” is all one needs to battle the pains and fight the hardships – in this life and the hereafter

Mujhse Bimar Pe Gar Ho Nazar e Mehr Zara, Ae Maseeha Abhi Chehre Pe Bahali Ho Jae

It had been over two years since I fell victim to back muscle spasms. It started off with mild tension in the back and before long, it intensified into a critical case of regular physiotherapy and meds. I wouldn’t be able to recline, carry anything, or even consider putting myself to any sort of physical exercise.

Stiff as a board; exactly how I used to define my state upon inquiry.

In the midst of all this, a glimmer of hope emerged. Mufaddal Moula TUS would visit Karachi.

On many instances throughout Moula’s TUS week-long visit, I did all to present an araz to Moula TUS but nothing appeared to materialize.

My condition continued to deteriorate.

Friday, July 26, 2019, was announced as the day of Moula’s TUS wada. On the night of 25th, Moula TUS would preside over the inauguration of Zaini Masjid and I deemed the occasion my last best chance. With some medical assistance, I reached the venue in the hope of getting a nazar mubarak, if nothing else.

Just as Moula TUS arrived and was near to move past me, the crowd around me lost the grip standing in the way and putting my final hopes to rest.

I returned back to Aljamea sunk in pain and anguish. Those around me and aware of the circumstances tried to dry my eyes but to no avail.

The following morning when I woke up for namaz, I was in pretty bad shape. Attending wada majlis looked impossible.

I decided to get some shuteye. In the dream, I saw Moula TUS entering my room wearing pagri and dupatto similar to his appearance earlier that night. Moula TUS got near my bed, brushed his haath mubarak on my back twice with a wide tabassum on his face and left.

Ecstatic and bewildered, I got up from sleep sitting upright with a force. As I was trying to recollect the dream, I failed to take into account a defining moment for me.

The pain had entirely vanished.

I attended the wada majlis with all normalcy brimming with the sense of gratitude that kept translating into tears as I made way to the venue.

Amongst the large audience, I saw thousands of mumineen with the extent of gratitude similar to mine. Indeed, all were the recipients of Moula’s TUS blessings in one way or the other.

I was just one amongst thousands.

Ab Aur Tujhsa Kaheen Kiya Koi Kareem Mile, Sila’e Madhe Jahan Jannat un Na’eem Mile

Moulana Mufaddal Saifuddin’s TUS discourses comprise of various elements, amongst which, some remain constant. Dua mubarak and prayers for mumineen is one of them. Whatever the occasion, whichever the place, the portion of dua mubarak is something which is always a part of His TUS discourses.

On one instance, during His TUS waaz mubarak on the Urs Mubarak of Syedna Qutbuddin Shaheed RA in Ahmedabad, Moulana TUS was praying for mumineen, pleading Allah TA for the safety of mumineen from all kinds of worldly and unworldly disasters, diseases and distresses.

Amidst His plea, Moulana TUS, with a keen intent, specifically did dua mubarak for those who were burned. It was something not common. I was surprised, and it kept me wondering.

Until after the waaz mubarak, I received an arzi by a mumin, requesting dua mubarak and shifa from Moulana TUS concerning a child who was severely burned. What happened thereafter was no surprise. The child was saved, and is living happily under the thanda saaya of our beloved Moula TUS.

It was then, when I was able to comprehend the cause of Moulana’s TUS sudden dua mubarak for the burnt.

It is apparent how the spontaneous and ‘unheard of’ dua mubarak expressed by Moulana TUS and the events that took place afterwards were anything but a coincidence.

Moulana TUS is our spiritual father and mother, and thus, He TUS listens to our hearts.

It is suffice to say that Janab Shk Mustafa Bhai Currim had the sharaf of serving Moulana TUS and His TUS honorable family his entire life. He had a habit of sharing his reflections based on the countless shanaat of Huzureala TUS he frequently used to witness.

This account was narrated by Janab Shk Mustafa Bhai Currim to Mulla Mufaddal Bhai Shk Zainuddin Bhai during Janab’s visit to Colombo, following Moulana’s TUS safar mubarak to Ahmedabad in the year 1436. Mulla Mufaddal Bhai had the pleasure of hosting Janab in Saifee Villa.

TRIBUTE

Seldom does one come across a unique personality whose loss creates a void in the lives of many – and to this league belonged Janab Sh Mustafa Bhai Currim.

The devastating news of his sudden demise stunned mumineen into shock, disbelief and total despair.

Sh Mustafa Bhai was a warrior. He had the voice of a gladiator and the soft heart of a true friend. He was the battle-horse amongst the other steeds, trained and disciplined in the art of khidmat.

He was an exemplary personality, the perfect blend of character, yin and yang. He was your teacher, your friend, your mentor, your adviser, someone you know you could count on, and always lent you his ear. All this along with fact that he was one of the most renowned, most trusted and most dynamic khidmat guzaars of our time.

Some may ask, “what did he do?” “what did he handle?”. I would reply, “you’re asking the wrong question, what didn’t he do?” No-one would ever know what his responsibilities comprised of – but those who had a hint of it, knew that it was out of the norm. No task was too much for him, and no matter how big or how hard, he was always calm and collected, and never seemed un-phased. All this, while he maintained his fond humor, the simplicity of normality, tranquility, and the most important human values of love and compassion.

Janab Shk Mustafa Bhai following Moula TUS in Saifee Villa, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
He set an example for all khidmat guzaars by his work ethic, his multi-tasking, his dedication, and his never seizing – unwavering love for Jamea.

We pray to Allah TA to elevate his soul to the loftiest realms of Jannat. He served Moula TUS on earth, and we know, wherever he is, he will continue to do so.

Hukm Tera Ho’we To Mumkin Hai Aisa Inqelab, Shab To Misle Rozz Ho’we Rozz Misle Shab Bane

I was seven months pregnant when I came to know that my amniotic fluid is extremely low. The doctor assured that a normal labor was out of question and an operation was inevitable.

For the next two months, I went through the medication of drips and clexane injection to increase the level of amniotic fluid.

One week before the delivery, when I went for the ultrasound, the reports stated that there is a suspicion of a single nostril. Worried and distressed, I sent all the reports in the hazrat imamiyah of Moulana Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS.

It was a Wednesday, when Moula TUS pronounced dua mubarak.

Thursday night, I went into labor pains, but I was certain that I was not going to deliver before 24 hours, as I had been injected a clexane injection just a night before.

‘The pain is going to last long’, I was warned.

Throughout the night, I kept uttering; “moula mane yaqeen che aap mane madad karso”.

To everyone’s astonishment, I delivered a baby girl normally without being operated, which was totally against the odds. The baby was perfectly fine and healthy and there was no abnormality whatsoever.

It was Friday, 6th of March, the birthday of Moulana Mohammad Burhanuddin RA, and unquestionably, it was always going to bring bliss and happiness.

Ae Aale Taha Ke Pyaare Ae Saif e Deen Sarwar, Tumhe Ye Mumineen Jhuk Kar Salam Kehte Hain

It was Syedna Taher Saifuddin’s RA final visit to Karachi and I was a student in STD 3 in the CMS school, which was located very near to Adam Masjid, where Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA would usually preside over bethaks.

Relatively, getting the sharaf of qadambosi in those days could be well described as ‘a piece of cake’. Mostly, the bethaks would be held in forenoon, hence, sneaking out of the school for qadambosi was part of my routine.

One such day, the recess bell went off and instinctively, I headed towards the bethak, until I realized that I had nothing to perform salam with, besides what my mother had handed me that morning; 15 paisa to bring home some fresh mint (pudina) and coriander (dhanya) leaves.

We were crimping and saving in that stage of life.

Ignorant of everything else, I split the 15 paisa into three halves of 5 paisa each with the intention of doing Moulana’s RA qadambosi thrice.

I rushed towards the masjid, performed salam twice and rejoined the queue for the third time.

After the third time, Moulana RA looked at me and said, “yahan aaw”. I stood there bewildered whilst Moulana RA with a radiant smile on his face queried; “15 paisa to khatam thai gaya, hawey tu dhanyo ne pudino kem lesey?”.

I was startled.

Moulana RA, thereupon, instructed Miyan saheb Shk Ibrahim Bhai Yamani to bring 20 paisa to be handed over to me and said, “aa 15 paisa no dhanyo ne pudino leje, aney 5 paisa si, aa masjid na bahar aik bakery che, maney khabar chey taney ehnu ‘cake powder’ ghanu bhaawey chey, aa bija 5 paisa si ye khai ne jaaje.”

Unable to comprehend the magnitude of what had just transpired, I was merrily on my way and did as I was told.

When I reminiscent that fateful day today, I run out of words to express the overwhelming emotion that fills heart, but Moulana knows what it conceals and He fulfils what it wishes for.

For it was none other than Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA who would state the following sentence with sheer confidence; “tamra ghar ma aik chamchi girey chey, to mara kaan ma ehnu awaaz awey chey.”

Nigah’e Lutfo Inayat Nazar’e Mehro Ata, Ye To Ye Aur Bhi Ehsan Hain Kinke, Inke

During Burhanuddin Moula’s RA visit to Mombasa, on one instance I received the sharaf of presenting a bowl of water to Moula RA, so that He RA could wash his hands after jaman.

Heretofore I had been a victim of chicken allergy. It was so arduous, that each time I would touch chicken, I would break into a severe rash resulting in several injections and antidotes.

Therefore, benefiting from the opportunity, I presented Moulana RA with my araz “moula mane chicken allergy che, chicken ne haath bhi nahin lagawi sakti”

Moulana RA responded with a smile and took a keen look at my hands – no words.

Thenceforth till present a person who was strictly prohibited from touching or even getting near chicken, is eating chicken with her very hands. The allergy apparently perished.

Just a glance did it.

Mujhse Bimar Pe Gar Ho Nazar’e Mehr Zara, Ae Maseeha Abhi Chehre Pe Bahali Ho Jae

I was in Mumbai on an occasion and my brother’s daughter caught a fever. We took it as a routine viral and thought that it would soon subside.

However, the fever kept increasing.

A sudden sense of panic besieged, and the only word everyone pronounced on witnessing the child was ‘serious’.

Frightened and unnerved, I stood in front of Burhanuddin Moula’s RA photograph and recited the dua of Nasrul Mahaba seeking shifa for my niece.

After some time, when I went into the room where she was sleeping, to examine her condition, I suddenly saw my niece calling ‘Moula! Moula!’ – as if speaking to someone in front of her.

Thereafter, she went back to sleep.

A while later, when she woke up, there wasn’t even a mere sight of fever to be seen.

It simply vanished.

My learning: call Moula – and He is there.

Kyun Khalq Tasadduq Na Ho Ishfaq Pe Har Dum, Iss Qadr Hain Iss Shaah Ke Altaf Ke Mat Puch

My father Shk Qurban Hussain Kapasi held the honor of being a classmate of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS at Jamea Saifyah.

Days leading upto his death, he strongly wished to have one last rendezvous with his Moula TUS so that he could speak all that his heart had held from the time they shared the same exam halls.

The following, is how Moula TUS answered his call;

It was 8th Rajab-1435 H, and Mufaddal Moula TUS was scheduled to arrive in Ahmadabad from Galyakot. Instead, Moula TUS travelled to Mumbai.

I was in my father’s company that day, in room no. 521 of the Saify Hospital where he was admitted.

Parallel to our was room no. 517 where Jivanjee Bs was admitted too.

After maghrib, the same day, when I was in the midst of doing dinner arrangements for my father, my eyes caught the presence of Mufaddal Moula TUS in the ward who was there to visit Jivanjee Bs.

Immediately as Moula TUS walked pass our room, I uttered “moula aik nazar”. Moula TUS instantaneously attended me, and directed himself into our room.

On witnessing my father, whom He TUS had known since long, Moula TUS stated with extreme tenderness “su thayu tamne?”, and before my father could react, Moula TUS placed his haath mubarak on my father’s chest.

For the next few minutes, my father, who was immensly weeping, expressed everything his heart ever concealed. Amidst his araz, Moula TUS fixed his nazar mubarak on my father with a rising smile.

As my father wept, Moula TUS placed his hands on my father’s cheeks with utmost shafaqat, ensuring He TUS was next to him, and he had nothing to worry about.

Thereafter, I spoke “moula ehna jahan takleef che, aap haath muki daiye”, and Moula TUS placed his haath mubarak on my father’s stomach.

After that, I gave a 500 rupee note to my father, as that was all I had at that time, and said “pappa lo moula ne salam karo” to which Moula immediately replied “nai nai aa na hoi”. With tears in my eyes, my father insisted “moula hamara par ghanu wajib che, kai nai kari sakta”.

Moula TUS then stated a few times “khuda shifa aape” and with a radiant tabassum on his face, fulfilling my father’s ultimate desire, He TUS left.

Nine days later, my father passed away. During his final days, I sensed an expression of content on his face, and I am sure he left the world leaving no regrets behind.

Goya Tasneef’e Shah’e Deen Hai Dua’e Saifee, Ye Asar Labb Mein Shah’e Koun’o Makaa’n Rakhte Hain

This is going back to summer 1994, when we went on a four-week holiday – to Cairo for zyarat and then on to London.

Five days on reaching London, our 12 year old son Adnan contracted the deadly streptococci. The doctor ran down the numbers: 17 children had died in four months in West England. So when Adnan was diagnosed, he pronounced with grimness: prepare for the worst.

Most of Adnan’s organs – liver, heart, kidneys and lungs – were not functioning. He had tubes inserted into his body all over.

We did what every mumin’s first response is: turn to his support pillar for help. A friend telephoned Mumbai and submitted an araz to Amatulla Aisaheba QR, who in turn presented the araz to Burhanuddin Moula RA in Ahmedabad.

Adnan was operated upon for more than five hours. The doctors said that Adnan would not be able to communicate in a normal manner for at least 24 hours following the operation, due to the effects of heavy sedation.

Three hours later, Adnan telephoned us to please bring his reading book when we visit him the following day.

That is not the amazing part:

A doctor, part of the team that performed the surgery, later stated he could feel the presence of someone around the operating table proving them a helping hand.

A year later during the Mombasa Ashara Mubarakah, while Adnan performed Burhanuddin Moula’s RA qadambosi, Maulana RA smiled prudently said “havey to fine chhey?”

Burhanuddin Moula RA showered countless blessings upon us. My son’s life is one among them.

Kun Keh Ke Hazaro’n Ko Kar Deta Hai Zinda Ye, Dikhlata Aa’lam Mein Ea’jaze Maseehana

It was the month of Rajab and a serious ulcer problem was diagnosed in my body. Thus, I suffered bleeding on a daily basis.

On the 16th  of Rajab, while in office, I felt some discomfort. I ate something light, returned home, and went to sleep.

Upon witnessing the discomfort I was experiencing, my wife insisted that we should go to a doctor. The moment I reached the hospital, the bleeding became more profuse, resulting in loss of much of my blood. Doctors checked my pulse – it was zero. At that moment, medically, I was dead.

Juzer bhaisaheb, submitted an urgent araz to Moulana Mohammed Burhanuddin RA for shifa and dua mubarak, in Bombay, on my behalf. While Aqa Moula RA was proceeding for waaz mubarak, my araz was presented to Him RA and shifa mubarak was pronounced.

That very instant in Karachi, my bleeding stopped. The doctors immediately began to consult where and how the treatment would begin.

They performed a complete check-up, again, and found that all the reports were suddenly clear. Not a single part of the body needed to be treated.

To their astonishment, they sent a man, who was medically dead just a few hours ago, home, without any sort of treatment. Because, Moula RA wanted to grant me a whole new life.

This zikr was narrated to Tazkerat by Shk Mudar Bhai in the year 1432H at his residence in Karachi, Pakistan.
