Ye Mera Kaba’e Deen Rukh Kare Jidhar Apna, Banu Mein Qibla Numa Rukh Karu Udhar Apna

Round the clock, we hear miracles of Moula, accounts of His supreme virtues, and memoirs of His absolute righteousness. Upholding it as our faith, we believe in it. But being a part of it yourself elevates your trust and belief to a completely different level.

Syedna Taher Saifuddin’s RA wafat happened in the year I was born. I heard His RA marvels and miracles throughout my childhood. Later, I understood that He RA was our family. However, I had never experienced what I heard. To put it in an another way, I was unlucky up until then.

In the year 1995/1416 H, I traveled for Umrah. It was 14th of Rajab and a Wednesday.

I was performing tawaf on the niyyat of Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA, when I caught the sight of several supervisors and caretakers of Baitullah, heading their way inside. When I inquired about the cause, I was told that Baitullah is being washed and cleansed from the inside.

I still do not know why it occurred to me, but I uttered while my eyes closed; “taher saifuddin moula, aapna ghana ma’ajiz suna che, aap har dua suno cho, aaje aap koi ehwo mojizo dekhawye, ke mane baitullah ma dakhli naseeb thai”.

Just as I had finished my words, I started to sense an unusual commotion around. I felt my self getting closer to the baab of Baitullah. As the rush upsurged, I tried to pull myself back.

Suddenly, to my astonishment, a lady supervisor miraculously appeared and held my hand. Cutting me through the crowd, she towed me from the far end to the very step of the door of Kaba and pushed me in.

I was stunned.

It was just a minute ago, when I was pleading Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA for something which I felt was impossible to happen. It actually was. I saw no one except the ones who were designated to enter Kaba for its wash. Moreover, I saw the expression on the face of the lady supervisor who pulled me in. She was totally baffled about what she had done.

As everyone outside was trying to get in, the door closed, and I was blessed with sharaf of being inside Kaba for about 40 minutes.

Some might phrase this as a co-incidence, but I know, it was Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA who did it.

His Ra Milaad Mubarak and the day when Kaba descended on earth happens to occur in the same month. I witnessed the connection.

Jo Kuch Ke Dil Mein Tamanna Thi Sab Huwi Hasil, Suna Jo Sab Ne Ke Motil Maram Aate Hain

Eight years had passed since Burhanuddin Moula RA had last visited Karachi. One can apprehend the thirst and desire. Only one prayer prevailed over the hearts of mumineen; “moula karachi padharo”.

In the year 1433, a few days before the Urus Mubarak of Sayyedi Abdulqadir Hakimuddin QR, I had a dream.

I was present in the bethak of Moulana Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS, then Mansoos of Burhanuddin Moula RA, with an audience of mumineen around me. Just as I was trying to rehearse an araz to Moula TUS to visit Karachi, Mufaddal Moula TUS blessed me with a sight of acknowledgement and asked mumineen around him in an affirming tone; “Sayyedi Abdulqadir Hakimuddin nu urus kivare aave che? kivare aave che? Khabar che? Kivare aave che?”.

Suddenly a sense of confusion triggered around. No one was able to react. Availing the opportunity, I somehow managed to utter; “moula urus na 2 din baad maaru waras che!”. Moula TUS responded back with a smile, and the dream ended.

As I woke up in the morning, I was enchanted by the fortune of having an audience with Moula TUS. Although, I was completely unaware of what Moula TUS meant when He TUS inquired about the Urus Mubarak.

Until a few days later, on the very day of the Urus Mubarak of Sayyedi Abdulqadir Hakimuddin QR, Mufaddal Moula TUS visited Karachi. It was then when I immediately recalled the dream.

Moula hears us.

With this belief in hearts, we gathered yesterday, on the Urus Mubarak of Sayyedi Abdulqadir Hakimuddin QR, pleading; “Moula, it has been 20 years now, bless Karachi with the sharaf of Asharah Mubarakah, quench our thirst!”

And now, we await the fulfillment.

Hukm Tera Ho’we To Mumkin Hai Aisa Inqelab, Shab To Misle Rozz Ho’we Rozz Misle Shab Bane

I was seven months pregnant when I came to know that my amniotic fluid is extremely low. The doctor assured that a normal labor was out of question and an operation was inevitable.

For the next two months, I went through the medication of drips and clexane injection to increase the level of amniotic fluid.

One week before the delivery, when I went for the ultrasound, the reports stated that there is a suspicion of a single nostril. Worried and distressed, I sent all the reports in the hazrat imamiyah of Moulana Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS.

It was a Wednesday, when Moula TUS pronounced dua mubarak.

Thursday night, I went into labor pains, but I was certain that I was not going to deliver before 24 hours, as I had been injected a clexane injection just a night before.

‘The pain is going to last long’, I was warned.

Throughout the night, I kept uttering; “moula mane yaqeen che aap mane madad karso”.

To everyone’s astonishment, I delivered a baby girl normally without being operated, which was totally against the odds. The baby was perfectly fine and healthy and there was no abnormality whatsoever.

It was Friday, 6th of March, the birthday of Moulana Mohammad Burhanuddin RA, and unquestionably, it was always going to bring bliss and happiness.

Nahin Hai Fe’el Koi Inka Khali Hikmat Se, Agar Sukut Kare Ya Agar Kalam Kare

Le mot juste. A French term. Refers to the right words. Sometimes these words can change a person’s life.

In 1408H, Burhanuddin Moula RA was in Pakistan for Ashara Mubaraka, during which the renovation of Masakin Mohamadiyah, where a student of Al Jamea Tus Saifiyah stays through the year, was completed.

On the occasion, all students received the sharaf of qadambosi, and were required to proceed according to their classes.

I was studying in Darajah Tasea (9).

As I got up for qadambosi and got close to Moulana RA, a khidmat guzaar presented the araz“Moula darajah tasea shuru thai chhey Moula, ane darajah ma aikkaj talebe-ilm chhey”.

This image was taken just as Sheikh Mustafa Bhai arose for qadambosi, and the araz was made “Moula darajah tasea shuru thai chhey Moula, ane darajah ma aikkaj talebe-ilm chhey”. This image is the exclusive property of the contributor and Tazkerat, and may not be copied, printed or otherwise disseminated without permission.

One could evidently see a sparkle on Moula’s RA face. He RA laid his hand on my hands, assembled everyone around, and stated “Dekho aikkaj talebe ilm darajah ma padhi rahya chhey!”.

He RA then repeated it a couple of times and finally brushed a masallah on my face, quoting a Hadees Mubarak, which has changed my life since then: ‘Al mumino wahdahu jama’atun’ (Mumin alone is a group).

His RA words have enlightened thousands, and are still doing so.

Teri Dua Ka Sabab Hai Ke Sidhi Parhti Hai, Kabhi Jo Karta Hun Tadbeer Bil’khata Ulti

Few years ago, I traveled to Mumbai, to present my wajebat in the Hazrat Imammiya of Aqa Moula Syedna Mohammad Burhanuddin RA.

When I entered the room where Moula RA was presiding, I totally forgot all I had precisely memorized and rehearsed earlier, to seek dua for my parents, brothers, job et cetera.

While I stood in front of Moula RA with tears in my eyes, I spontaneously uttered: “Moula bairo hamela che, naam ni araz che”.

I hadn’t finished my words as Moula RA immediately pronounced ‘Murtaza’. I reiterated the araz once again, and Moula RA repeated ‘Murtaza’.

Before I could further progress the araz, I was on my way to the exit.

I was surprised. Moula RA did not inquire about the names of the parents neither Moula RA asked whether we already had a baby. Just one name ‘Murtaza’.

I blamed myself as I thought I had blown the opportunity by not presenting the araz properly. ‘I should have written the araz’, ‘I should have gone through someone’, were the distressing thoughts which kept me unsettled for about 3 months.

Until we were blessed with a baby boy on 18th November.

The story does not end here.

I was awestruck when my son’s chatti coincided with the very day in which Rasool Allah SAW appointed Ali Murtaza AS as his successor.

‘Murtaza’, He RA had already chosen the name for us.

Tareef Hilm Ki Likhe Ya Madh Husn Ki, Ajiz Hai Nutq Wasf’e Shah’e Khush Sifaat Se

It was 1417H, Surat, and the Imtehan of Al Jamea Tus Saifiyah coincided the Iftitah of Al Masjid Al Moazzam.

I was a five year old child waiting on the steps of Al Jamea Tus Saifiyah on the day of mab’as awaiting a glimpse of Moulana Mohammad Burhanuddin RA.

Cries of Moula Moula, indicated the arrival of Moulana RA from Qasr Mubarak in His RA car, blessing mumineen with His RA salaami.

As the car neared, Ammi reminded me of the araz we had rehearsed earlier. I shouted “Moula mei rozu kidu che”.

The car stopped, and out came Sh Ismail, as recalled by my mother and asked her “Moulana puchhe che bachha ye rozu kidu che??”, and Ammi responded with a nod.

I didn’t realize why Ammi was crying so much back then, but now as I think about it, Moulana RA listened to the cry of a young boy amongst a crowd of probably thousands crying and calling out Moula!.

I barely have any memory of the events that preceded or followed but I can still recall the words uttered by miyasaheb as though it happened yesterday.

In the very same fashion, He RA hears us today.

Ae Aale Taha Ke Pyaare Ae Saif e Deen Sarwar, Tumhe Ye Mumineen Jhuk Kar Salam Kehte Hain

It was Syedna Taher Saifuddin’s RA final visit to Karachi and I was a student in STD 3 in the CMS school, which was located very near to Adam Masjid, where Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA would usually preside over bethaks.

Relatively, getting the sharaf of qadambosi in those days could be well described as ‘a piece of cake’. Mostly, the bethaks would be held in forenoon, hence, sneaking out of the school for qadambosi was part of my routine.

One such day, the recess bell went off and instinctively, I headed towards the bethak, until I realized that I had nothing to perform salam with, besides what my mother had handed me that morning; 15 paisa to bring home some fresh mint (pudina) and coriander (dhanya) leaves.

We were crimping and saving in that stage of life.

Ignorant of everything else, I split the 15 paisa into three halves of 5 paisa each with the intention of doing Moulana’s RA qadambosi thrice.

I rushed towards the masjid, performed salam twice and rejoined the queue for the third time.

After the third time, Moulana RA looked at me and said, “yahan aaw”. I stood there bewildered whilst Moulana RA with a radiant smile on his face queried; “15 paisa to khatam thai gaya, hawey tu dhanyo ne pudino kem lesey?”.

I was startled.

Moulana RA, thereupon, instructed Miyan saheb Shk Ibrahim Bhai Yamani to bring 20 paisa to be handed over to me and said, “aa 15 paisa no dhanyo ne pudino leje, aney 5 paisa si, aa masjid na bahar aik bakery che, maney khabar chey taney ehnu ‘cake powder’ ghanu bhaawey chey, aa bija 5 paisa si ye khai ne jaaje.”

Unable to comprehend the magnitude of what had just transpired, I was merrily on my way and did as I was told.

When I reminiscent that fateful day today, I run out of words to express the overwhelming emotion that fills heart, but Moulana knows what it conceals and He fulfils what it wishes for.

For it was none other than Syedna Taher Saifuddin RA who would state the following sentence with sheer confidence; “tamra ghar ma aik chamchi girey chey, to mara kaan ma ehnu awaaz awey chey.”

Nigah’e Lutfo Inayat Nazar’e Mehro Ata, Ye To Ye Aur Bhi Ehsan Hain Kinke, Inke

During Burhanuddin Moula’s RA visit to Mombasa, on one instance I received the sharaf of presenting a bowl of water to Moula RA, so that He RA could wash his hands after jaman.

Heretofore I had been a victim of chicken allergy. It was so arduous, that each time I would touch chicken, I would break into a severe rash resulting in several injections and antidotes.

Therefore, benefiting from the opportunity, I presented Moulana RA with my araz “moula mane chicken allergy che, chicken ne haath bhi nahin lagawi sakti”

Moulana RA responded with a smile and took a keen look at my hands – no words.

Thenceforth till present a person who was strictly prohibited from touching or even getting near chicken, is eating chicken with her very hands. The allergy apparently perished.

Just a glance did it.

Karam Se Sheh Ke Na Hargiz Rahega Be Takreem, Ye Abd Abde Ali Garche Kuch Na Kaam Kare

It was 1428 H, and Burhanuddin Moula RA had bestowed my homeland the honor of hosting Ashara Mubaraka. If my memory serves right, it was a Thursday, and a qadambosi bethak was scheduled for the mumineen of Colombo.

I had recently finished memorizing the Quran (by the eternal dua of Molana RA and divine guidance). Thus, mindful of the effort I had invested in the process,  for two long, arduous years and terrified by the thought that I would forget the Quran, I ended up in the qadambosi que with an araz, seeking Moula’s RA dua so that I wouldn’t forget the Quran.

As I got closer to Moula’s RA, I saw Mehlum BS Zainuddin DM collecting all the araiz. Ergo, I handed my araz to him, explaining what it was about. Mehlum BS DM asked me whether I was in Jamea, nodded and went back to his position.

It was my turn, and I advanced towards Moula RA completely unaware of what awaited me.

While I was performing qadambosi, Mehlum BS apprised Moula RA of the details of my araz. The moment Moula RA heard that I had just finished memorizing the Quran, He RA, almost instantly, with an utmost rapture inquired “Akkha Quran yaad che?!”, I replied “Jee Moula”. Moula RA continued “Jamea ma parho cho?!”, I iterated “Jee Moula”.

Thereupon, I glanced towards Moula RA one last time and was guided towards the exit. Overwhelmed and moved, I hardly managed to walk.

Just as I stepped outside, I heard a shout “Wo Haafiz ne bulawo, Haafiz ne bulawo”. Initially, I wasn’t sure whether it was me who was being referred to or someone else. I turned around and saw Mehlum BS, and as soon as he spotted me, he vigorously gestured to come inside.

Wherefore, I was standing in front of Moula RA again.

As I trembled in a state of extreme wonderment, Burhanuddin Moula RA looked at me, and stated “Subhanallazi asra be abdehi… (Surat ul Isra Juz 15) waha si parho”. I was flabbergasted. I was blank.

As I hesistantly started praying, I heard all the Bhaisahebs hushing the crowd, crying out “quran parhai che..sagla khamosh thai jaw”. This evidently made me even more nervous.

I started reciting the first ayat. Once I reached the end of it, I erred. I don’t quite recall who was standing behind me but he corrected me. Thereafter, I halted.

Pin drop silence.

Burhanuddin Moula RA nodded suggesting that I should continue, but I was unable to recollect anything.

Silence. Moula RA nodded again.

Quietness was all I was able to respond with.

Everyone around me urged “parho parho”, but I stood passive, deadlocked, eyes fixed on Moula RA and tears pouring down my cheeks.

Moula RA inclined towards me and instructed me to come closer. I obeyed. Moula RA then placed his haath mubarak on my right shoulder and pronounced with sublime affection “Khuda Barakat Aape”.

I can still feel His RA hand on my shoulder, I can still hear his voice reverberating in my ears.

Whatever I am today, is because I am fortunate to have had acquired those three simple but profound words.

Kyun Khalq Tasadduq Na Ho Ishfaq Pe Har Dum, Iss Qadr Hain Iss Shaah Ke Altaf Ke Mat Puch

My father Shk Qurban Hussain Kapasi held the honor of being a classmate of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin TUS at Jamea Saifyah.

Days leading upto his death, he strongly wished to have one last rendezvous with his Moula TUS so that he could speak all that his heart had held from the time they shared the same exam halls.

The following, is how Moula TUS answered his call;

It was 8th Rajab-1435 H, and Mufaddal Moula TUS was scheduled to arrive in Ahmadabad from Galyakot. Instead, Moula TUS travelled to Mumbai.

I was in my father’s company that day, in room no. 521 of the Saify Hospital where he was admitted.

Parallel to our was room no. 517 where Jivanjee Bs was admitted too.

After maghrib, the same day, when I was in the midst of doing dinner arrangements for my father, my eyes caught the presence of Mufaddal Moula TUS in the ward who was there to visit Jivanjee Bs.

Immediately as Moula TUS walked pass our room, I uttered “moula aik nazar”. Moula TUS instantaneously attended me, and directed himself into our room.

On witnessing my father, whom He TUS had known since long, Moula TUS stated with extreme tenderness “su thayu tamne?”, and before my father could react, Moula TUS placed his haath mubarak on my father’s chest.

For the next few minutes, my father, who was immensly weeping, expressed everything his heart ever concealed. Amidst his araz, Moula TUS fixed his nazar mubarak on my father with a rising smile.

As my father wept, Moula TUS placed his hands on my father’s cheeks with utmost shafaqat, ensuring He TUS was next to him, and he had nothing to worry about.

Thereafter, I spoke “moula ehna jahan takleef che, aap haath muki daiye”, and Moula TUS placed his haath mubarak on my father’s stomach.

After that, I gave a 500 rupee note to my father, as that was all I had at that time, and said “pappa lo moula ne salam karo” to which Moula immediately replied “nai nai aa na hoi”. With tears in my eyes, my father insisted “moula hamara par ghanu wajib che, kai nai kari sakta”.

Moula TUS then stated a few times “khuda shifa aape” and with a radiant tabassum on his face, fulfilling my father’s ultimate desire, He TUS left.

Nine days later, my father passed away. During his final days, I sensed an expression of content on his face, and I am sure he left the world leaving no regrets behind.
